God's Concern

~ God's Concerns ~

Can I selflessly care as someone in Christ for someone who have hurt me? I thought I would never be big enough for that and why should I be, really? Can others blame me for that? I don't think anyone has the right to tell me that, except God. Then Rev. Mah preached on Jonah 4:1-11.

"Jonah 4:10 But the LORD said, "You have been concerned about this vine, though you did not tend it or make it grow. It sprang up overnight and died overnight. 11 But Nineveh has more than a hundred and twenty thousand people who cannot tell their right hand from their left, and many cattle as well. Should I not be concerned about that great city?"

Once again, HE reminds me that no matter how bad the city was, HE is love and HE does not like to destroy HIS creations.

My conclusion? Other than the fact that I have to care the person who hurt me as a person. Another thing I realize is that I must have got my straight forward personality from HIM because HE always speaks to me so directly when my head is screwed. BTW - care and friendship are 2 different topics, in case you ever wonder. =P

I love this drama!

:: I Love This Drama ! ::
I got this story from an article that I found in a client's office, called "Off the clock" by Rebecca Dudley (News-Tribune Editor/ Publisher). I love the drama so much that I have to share with you all.

"My ex-husband had this annoying habit of bringing greasy old carburetors and things into the house to work on. So, last week, when my friend called to tell me this story, my first response was, "Where did this guy live?"

Now reassured that I was never related to him by marriage, this really is too hilarious not to share.

The way my friend told it, this guy pushed his motorcycle from the patio into his living room, where he began to clean the engine with some rags and a bowl of gasoline. When he finished, he sat on the motorcycle and decided to start it to make sure everything was still OK. Unfortunately, the bike started in gear, and crashed through the glass patio door with him still clinging to the handlebars.

His wife had been working in the kitchen. She came running at the noise, and found him crumpled on the patio, badly cut from the shards of broken glass. She called 911, and the paramedics transported the guy to the emergency room.

So far, the story is humorous - in a "that is what you get for being a big enough lout to bring your motorcycle into the house" kind of way.

But here is where I really split a gut.

Later that afternoon, after many stitches had pulled her husband back together, the wife brought him home and put him to bed. She cleaned up the mess in the living room, and dumped the bowl of gasoline in the toilet.

Shortly thereafter, her husband woke up, lit a cigarette, and went into the bathroom. He sat down and tossed the cigarette into the toilet, which promptly exploded because the wife had not flushed the gasoline away. The explosion blew the man through the bathroom door.

The wife heard the explosion and her husband's screams. She ran into the hall and found him lying on the floor with his trousers blown away and burns on his buttocks. The wife again ran to the phone and called for an ambulance.

The same two paramedics were dispatched to the scene. They loaded the husband on the stretcher and began carrying him to the street. One of them asked the wife how the injury had occurred. When she told them, they began laughing so hard that they dropped the stretcher, and broke they guy's collarbone.

Talk about instant karma. ~ end~

Don't you just love this? =) I laughed so hard after I read this in the client's kitchen that I have to take a copy of this article for myself. =D

What's up!?

:: What's up!?::

It has been a month since I last blogged. Time goes by so fast that I hardly remember what I did and most of all, it's mainly because I have been too busy to reflect. Let's see what happened in the past month.

1) My birthday party: another year with surprise! And it wasn't revealed by Mr. Forgetful Zebra! I should have clue in, but I never pay enough attention to this kind of things. haha! I'll let my friends to have their satisfactions. I got cool gifts this year, including my favorite TV show DVDs - Lois & Clark: The New Adventures for Superman. (^0^). I honestly forgot how addicted to Dean Cain I was until I start watching the DVDs. hahaha! Enough said.

2) Gospel camp: Loads of attack on HIS servants during the midst of preparation. I felt I owe my help to all the helpers since I was one of the supporters to have this camp, so I kinda offered my help. Oh boy, was I wrong! (just kidding!) I was asked to do this Christianity Q&A program and the old saying is always true - "書到用時方恨少". Thank God that my partner is much more knowledgeable than I'm. To top it off, both of us were having the longest working hours the week before the camp as well. I booked 62 hours on my timesheet that week, so I was quite amazed that I was able to do the script in the same week. Then of course, some personal thing happens that upset me which I need to fight it off. But I've learned that perseverance is always the key in serving (and in life). Once again, God helps us to pull this off. =D But I truly don't want to see myself on tape. (@___@)

3) Dignity: There is nothing glamour about finding out people's darkest secret, despite how much I love detective stories. No matter how hypocrite one person is, I still can't lower myself. There are moments that I honestly want to scream and want the world to know. Man, I hate myself for having so much dignity sometimes. I can almost feel the dismay inside me can eat me alive slowly, but HIS love can help me to get over it someday.

4) Timothy#2: My Timothy#1 is full grown and doesn't need me anymore, so I got myself Timothy #2. To Sick-Kit: YES! I'LL FINISH ALL THE CLASSES WITH HER. Even if she has to walk down the aisle with the text book in her hand. =P

That's it for today. Later!
